After playing High School Basketball in Calgary, Tony went on to play US and Canadian College/ University then ended playing Professional in Asia for 6 years.
Since 1997 he developed from combinations of playing to refereeing, and then coaching. He has been coaching for over 15 years; levels ranging from Tyke community, High School, Provincial caliber teams and as high as College/University teams. What makes him good at what he does is not limited to just his coaching experience, but also his ability to understand from various points of view - player, official, and coaching standpoint.
Recently in the last 4 years transitioned to girls for the natural interest to share his passion and develop his kids. His specialty grew from doing personal one-on-one training, group clinics, and camps. The effectiveness of his programs had been from delivering results through the success of his Girls Basketball Program. He is currently heading the overall development of The Calgary Storm Boys and Girls Basketball Club U13, U14, U15, U17, U19 teams with him being Head Coach for U15 & U17 girls and Coaches Consultant.
Coach Joe Lam

Joe started out as a soccer player and only began playing basketball in the seventh grade. However he soon became a standout for his junior and senior high school team.
While playing for his junior and senior basketball team, he was a key element in helping those teams contend for city championships.
During his high school, College/ University basketball career, Joe was also a member of the Calgary Alberta Basketball team. While playing organizes basketball, Joe played with a love and passion for the game, and even now continues to play on a men's league team.
As well, he has also begun his coaching career with the St. Francis girl basketball team in which he is having tremendous success in only his first year.
Coach Ray Sangil

Ray has been involved with sports his whole life. Growing up in Edmonton, he played Varsity Basketball, Volleyball and Soccer in junior high. In High School, he played Football and continued with Basketball and Volleyball. He attended University of Alberta and joined the intramural basketball, Slo-pitch softball, and flag football leagues and in various tournaments throughout the city.
After graduating from the UofA, Ray moved to the Philippines where he maintained his love for sports. He was a coach on Community and Club basketball teams and was the assistant coach of the Philippine U19 team which represented the country in various tournaments around Asia. He was also one of the pioneers of the Philippine Flag Football League and was a Council Member heavily involved in teaching and training youths the sport of football.
Ray is now based in Calgary and in 2011 he was a Calgary Storm assistant coach helping Coach Tony Tan with the U13 & U15 girls, Summer camp and Fall program. In 2012, he will be coaching the U13 boys team.
Coach Enny Ajayi

Enny spent time playing basketball for one of the top University's in Africa.
He has played Professional basketball in China and South Africa. While playing overseas, Enny began coaching a youth club basketball and then coached High School Varsity Boys team in Asia.
Coach Tracy Frimpong

Tracy only began playing all sports in grade 9, but shortly after began to develop a passion for Basketball. Although, she played high school ball with a low ranked high school, she knew that with hardwork and determination, she could play college basketball.
She has received numerous Athlete of The Year awards, along with grade 12 basketball MVP.
Now following her dream, she is playing for the Olds College Broncos on a partial scholarship and studying Business. Basketball has allowed her to travel, make new friends and teach her that determination is key. This will be her first year coaching, and she cant wait to see the game she loves from a different perspective.
Coach Bruce Sinclair

Bruces love of basketball come from his years at basketball powerhouse Gonzaga University and also University of San Diego.
He has coached over 30 plus teams at the community and club levels , taken teams to the Provincials, and California for competitions, played in the Italian and Japanese mens league, and coaches club and community teams today.
He has a love of the game and a true passion for its competitiveness.
All 4 of his kids are avid ballers with his 2 older sons being standouts at St Marys High School.
Bruce continues to play competitively today in the Calgary Senior Mens Basketball Association and his team has won back to back spring league division titles in 2010 and 2011.
Coach Lindsay Grimbly

Lindsay is a 2nd year student at Augustana Campus, University of Alberta.
She played for Tony Tan from 2006-2009, and acted as an assistant coach during the summers at Tony's various camps. After she graduated from Western Canada High School, Tony helped Lindsay obtain a try-out with Augustana. She went on to play for them during the 2009-2010 season. Entering her 2nd year, she decided to end her career as a player and focus on academics.
This gave her the opportunity to step into a coaching role for Tony during her school break; she will be coaching the U13 girls team over the 2011 summer break.
Coach Juan Florián

Coach Florián graduated as physical education teacher in Colombia. He's always been passionate about basketball.
He played basketball in high school and later Varsity University and represented it in national tournaments. He went on to play for his city team Bogota. In 2000 he moved to Canada and got a Bachelors of Education at UWO.
In 2005 he worked as an international languages teacher and sophomore girls coach in Virginia US. Later in London, Ontario he was an assistant coach at CCH high school.
After a long break from coaching he is back ready to help develop the Calgary Storm Basketball program.
