"I owe most all of my basketball success and development to Tony Tan. I had previously played ringette for 10 years and at the age of 15 was exploring basketball on a Community "B" team where Tony saw my raw undeveloped skills. He invited me to come workout with his club team, even before he knew I could contribute. Through the next 3 years he taught, encouraged and challenged me to be better. At the time I only imagine that it would be for my improvment and success at High School, but he always talked about being able to play after high school. Tony exposed us to the toughest tournaments and games, so that we could see what it took and where we fit in. Never did I believe, at the begining that it would lead me to a starting role on a CIS University Team, in just 3 years. For this I owe Tony and his coaches a huge amount of appreciation."

"Tony Tan is constantly working. I remember when we had a clinic at Red Deer Lake School and I was amazed at how well he knew his fundamentals. He could really break the game down...and he could show you how to do it. Not many coaches can do that, teach and then show by example. He is an excellent student of the game."
